Falkland Palace Glasshouse
The Falkland Palace Greenhouse was designed in 1890 for John Patrick Critchton-Stuart, 3rd Marquess of Bute, by Mackenzie and Moncur of Edinburgh and restored for the National Trust for Scotland in 1985. It could not look more spectacular, under the expert care of the incredibly talented, and charming head gardener, Sonia Ferras-Mana. Needless to say the star of the glasshouse is Pelargonium 'Lord Bute'. Infuriatingly difficult to take cuttings from, I was thrilled to see it, there is no more beautiful geranium.
