Jupiter Artland and the Edinburgh Art Festival 2013 co-commissioned Sara Barker to make her first sculpture outside in a landscape. 'Patterns' is an ephemeral piece, constructed from glass, painted aluminium and brass rising from a slab of polished concrete. She placed Patterns in Gala Wood. The name of the work was suggested to her by the title of a poem by American writer Amy Lowell.
